British bartender Dick Bradsell invented this
now-classic drink, a.k.a. the Vodka Espresso, at Fred’s Club in London in the
late ’80s. Legend has it that Kate Moss asked for a drink that would “wake me
up and then fuck me up” at the same time.
INGREDIENTS IN THE ESPRESSO MARTINI COCKTAIL
2 oz Vodka
1⁄2 oz Simple syrup
1⁄2 oz Kahlúa
1 oz Freshly brewed espresso
Garnish: 3 coffee beans
Glass: doppia coppa martini
HOW TO MAKE THE ESPRESSO MARTINI COCKTAIL
Add all of the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice
and shake.
Fine-strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and garnish
with 3 coffee beans.
